Great spot for fresh and authentic food. The chicken fajita burrito was incredible. Got rice and beans on the side as well. All of the salsas were so fresh. Staff very friendly. Will be going back again soon. Loved it.

No BS taco shop. Great staff, very fast service, just barebones quick food. Order comes with chips, salsa, and a great spicy green sauce

Service was excellent. We were checked on many times and food came very fast. Looking for a new Mexican restaurant in Austin as a newcomer, and after 5 different ones, this was by far our favorite! Will be coming back soon!

Chilaquiles here were so bomb. The portions were very hefty and generous too. Salsa was delish. I have only been to the chapalas in Corpus and so was a bit skeptical of this one. Did not disappoint. My friends ordered a beef burrito and barbacoa torta that were also cooked very well and satisfied their big appetites. Not too busy on Friday lunch. Service was excellent and came out pretty fast. Will return when I'm in Austin again for sure.

Gorditas (al pastor and nopal) were pretty good. Queso fresco, lettuce, and tomato too. Appears to have been with Maseca rather than freshly nixtamalized and ground corn masa. But I guess that would be difficult to obtain in the USA. Friendly and quick service.

Cute taqueria restaurant in East Austin! Was definitely impressed with Taqueria Chapala! Especially since i’m pretty picky with Mexican food. Got to try their tampiquena plate and their hard shell tacos. While I wasn’t a big fan of their hard shell tacos, their cheese enchiladas and their fajita taco was pretty good! Would definitely get it again. The waitresses were all so friendly and helpful. Pretty great atmosphere overall! I would definitely love to stop by again and try some of their other dishes.

Great and authentic! What I loved about this place is that you can order single tacos and you’re not obligated to eat three tacos of the same flavor Barbacoa adobado was fantastic!
